Rain. After all the panic and confusion and stress of today, rain is exactly what I wanted to hear right now. It really is very soothing.
Just realized I’m wearing the same clothes I wore the first time she went to the hospital. A more superstitious man might think it’s time to retire this particular outfit.
pyrates: having a friendship with me is like nurturing a tiny baby seed you have to be patient and give it lots of water and not get upset if it doesn’t grow right away because it takes a while….. and then it sprouts and you can tell hey because i talk a little more and maybe start conversations and then you water it more and then suddenly it blooms and you realize it’s A WEED YOU DON’T...
Home, nothing I can do at this point other than sit around. Did my part today, and I think I handled it well. My father is staying with her at the hospital for tonight, or at least until she gets an actual room. A nap would be nice.
No one is saying anything for certain until the tests are done, but most of them agree off-the-record that her symptoms match a ministroke, and that it’s good we brought her when we did. Today has been absolutely nerve wracking, and at this point I’m just glad it’s out of my hands.

Mal: The way I remember it, albatross was a ship's good luck, 'til some idiot killed it.
[He turns to Inara.]
Mal: Yes, I've read a poem. Try not to faint.
I think I need to rewatch Blazing Saddles.
